The Claymation Dream - January 21st, 2016

[FOREWORD - This is one of the first dreams I wrote down on my computer. It is also one of the shortest entries, as a lot of the dream was just noise and motion rather than anything distinct. I bracketed the relationships I have with these people next to their names in this entry, but if they appear in any others, it won't be mentioned again, if that makes sense. Anyway, enjoy!]

Lili (my best friend), Angus (my old housemate) and I were in the Goldcrest Court parking lot, all talking to each other. I don't remember how we got there, or why we were there in the first place, but we were talking about university. Chris (my step-uncle) appeared out of thin air, telling us to go in this house to look for my mum, who was apparently really drunk.

The inside of the house looked just like my aunt's, and not the stereotypical flat that should be there, and all my old high school friends were dancing in the living room. Che (a friend from university) came in looking very upset and told us to stop being loud, threw a tantrum and then left. I sat down on my aunt's sofa, feeling confused. When I looked over to my right, Lili had turned into Connor (an old friend from high school) and Connor suggested we go check if Che is okay. I can't remember why but I didn't want to go with him. I couldn't process the fact that Lili now had Connor's face and that it wasn't Lili anymore. Connor insisted we go, so I reluctantly followed him.

We went into what would've been Julie's (my aunt) bedroom but it was black and my mum was in it, looking kind of tipsy. She hurled verbal abuse at me and said I was the worst, so I left and went into what would have been the bathroom, but it was a really fancy bedroom with a four poster bed (red and gold interior). Chris was sitting on the edge of the bed, having found Julie, and asked me to keep an eye on her until he came back, then left. Angus then came in and said we were needed outside, so when Chris came back (with my mum) I made sure Julie had a glass of water and left.

We were back in Goldcrest car park and Lili said she wanted a nap. I went to see Carol (my grandmother) first and said hello to Vinnie (her dog) and saw Tia (my hometown friend) and her mum on the way back; Tia kissed me a lot and got red lipstick all over my cheeks. I said it was nice to see her, but I really had to go, because Lili was tired and was starting to complain. Then I took her back into the weird house that resembled Julie's and climbed up these strange, MC Escher kind of steps: they were purple and fluffy and leading at different angles to different places. I climbed to the top, found Lili a spot to nap, and then remembered thinking "this isn't Julie's house, this is Goldcrest". I led Lili back down the steps and outside and decided to get into a random white people-carrier with two, loud, Indian cab drivers.

We were standing up in the back for some reason and not sitting down, and as soon as we got to Norwich Road, I started yelling to Lili (over the noise of the cabbies and their obnoxiously loud radio) that I forgot to bring money with me to pay the cab fare and that they were gonna kill us. Lili started trying to reason with the cabbies, saying she'd buy them pizza as soon as she found her credit card, so they started driving towards Regent Street for this pizza place called 'New Pizza' (I'd like to point out here that these roads are real places but New Pizza is not).

I managed to escape out of the people-carrier, leaving Lili behind at the bottom of Fonnerau Road and started walking, but 'Rise And Shine' (a song by Guster) started to play out of no where and these claymation objects hopped over the fence and landed in front of me. They were small kettles and cups, appearing to be made of Play-Doh with giant, animated eyes. I tried to smile and say hello, but they lunged forward, ripping my limbs and skin off until I died.
